Intimacy Levels Explained — The 5 Tiers of Private Game

Private Game is built so couples control exactly how far they go. The entire deck of 600+ cards is organised into five intensity tiers — from gentle icebreakers all the way to the most explicit content — and you set your own ceiling before the session starts. The game never exceeds it.

The five intensity tiers

  1. Spark Light, playful icebreakers

Spark cards ease you into the session. Expect light conversation starters, fun questions, and low-stakes prompts that help partners relax and connect. This tier is genuinely playful — nothing here should feel uncomfortable, which makes it perfect as your starting point or as a standalone ceiling for a flirty, lighthearted evening.

  2. Warmth Flirty and sensual

Warmth cards build on that connection with a flirty, affectionate energy. Prompts explore attraction, appreciation, and tender curiosity about your partner. The mood is sensual without being sexual — think long looks, honest compliments, and questions that deepen emotional intimacy.

  3. Heat Sexual but soft; sensual without being graphic

Heat cards step into sexual territory while keeping things tasteful. Prompts are suggestive and playful rather than explicit — a nudge in a physical direction without graphic content. The free tier includes a small Heat sample so you can gauge the feel before unlocking the full catalog.

  4. Fire Explicit; for partners ready to go further

Fire cards are clearly adult in nature. They are direct, explicit, and designed for couples who want to push the experience further. This tier requires the full-catalog unlock, available as a one-time purchase or a weekly pass.

  5. Inferno The most intense tier

Inferno is the highest intensity tier in the deck. These cards are for couples who are fully comfortable with explicit content and want the most intense experience Private Game offers. Like Fire, Inferno is part of the paid catalog.

How the intensity builds

A Private Game session moves through three phases — Connection, Exploration, and Passion — with the deck weighted so earlier draws land in lighter tiers and later draws push toward your ceiling. The arc is gradual by design: you warm up before you go deep.

Within each phase, cards rotate across five types:

  • Question Open-ended prompts that spark conversation and honest sharing.
  • Task Low-pressure activities the active player does together with their partner.
  • Dare A direct challenge that adds an edge of excitement.
  • Duet Both partners participate at the same time.
  • Wildcard Surprise format — keeps the session unpredictable.

You are always in control

  • Choose your ceiling. Pick any tier from Spark to Inferno before the session starts. The deck only draws cards at or below that tier.
  • Age-gated at 18+. The first session requires both partners to confirm they are adults before any content is shown.
  • Consent-forward pacing. The session arc moves gradually; nothing jumps from low to high intensity without the deck building toward it.
  • Skip any card. You can skip a card at any time with no penalty and no explanation required. Your limits are yours to set.

Frequently asked questions

How intense does Private Game get?
As intense as you choose. The deck goes from Spark (gentle icebreakers) through Warmth, Heat, and Fire, up to Inferno (the most explicit tier). You set your ceiling when you start the session, and cards will never exceed it.
Can we keep it tame?
Absolutely. Setting your ceiling at Spark or Warmth gives you a flirty, emotionally connective experience with no sexual content at all. Many couples play at these tiers regularly and find it plenty engaging.
Is Private Game explicit?
The higher tiers — Fire and Inferno — are explicit and intended for adults. The lower tiers (Spark, Warmth, and the free Heat sample) are not. The app is age-gated at 18+ on first launch, and explicit content sits behind a one-time purchase.
Can we skip cards we are not comfortable with?
Yes. You can skip any card at any time, no explanation needed. The game is designed to respect your pace — skipping is built into the flow, not hidden away.
